First Steps Toward Paperless City Council Meetings
Hardenberg, 22 June 2009 – The municipality of Hardenberg (Overijssel, the Netherlands), starts today with a test to provide all council members with a digital reader. The digital reader makes it possible to significantly reduce the paper flow required to prepare for council meetings. The purpose of the test is to fully switch to paperless meetings by April 2010. With this step, the municipality of Hardenberg will be the first Dutch city to completely shift to digital delivery of documents.
